Earthtime

Earthtime is a Social Enterprise, (part of Moray Social Enterprise Network) and a Community Interest Company which focuses on environmental education and provides a wide range of activities to suit all ages and occasions. All Earthtime’s work aims to inspire and generate enthusiasm for nature and the outdoors and a respect for the earth’s resources.

Earthtime was founded and launched in early 2011 as a partnership by Deborah Hockney and Laura Russell, and now has a strong team of volunteers and an extensive customer network around Moray and beyond. Earthtime offers a range of creative services, all of which are nature based and are environmentally themed. This includes the widely popular Toddler Adventure session, for 2- 5 year olds, new Waddle Toddle sessions, suitable for one and two year olds and the recently launched Senior Moments Project for those 50+. The business has also developed a range of successful products including themed Outdoor Parties, workshops or outings for schools, nurseries and community groups and organising and facilitating larger events at various venues. Earthtime is also fully Forest School trained and can deliver Forest School sessions, a unique form of child led outdoor learning, to schools and nurseries in Moray and beyond.

Earthtime strives to provide activities suitable for everyone, irrespective of their learning ability and any physical or financial difficulties. Whilst working primarily with children aged 2 to 8 years, to inspire and create early, positive memories of nature for them to grow up with, Earthtime also has activities suitable for all age groups and individuals, and strives to work within the communities of Moray to encourage everyone to see the wonder of nature on their own doorstep.

Earthtime also has a charity arm, Earthtime For All Ltd which was established at the end of 2012 to enable the organisation to take their activities to those members of the community who are disadvantaged and unable to access the sessions through the Community Interest Company.

Working with National Trust for Scotland at Brodie Castle, Earthtime are pleased to be able to use this wonderful venue for their very first Fairy and Elf Fair. This promises to be an exciting event with lots of activities for both children and adults and many local crafters promoting and selling their products.
